The activities of the Lyceum of Greek Women of Kalamata (L. G. W. K.) in the publishing field are centered on editions whose purpose is to acquaint the public with the wealth of Greek tradition, and particularly in the traditional costume.
L.G.W.K. has published the “Greek Traditional Costumes” (1991), the “Greek Traditional Ornaments” (1997) and “The Gold embroidered” (2006). It has also published a biography of the founder of the first Lykeion, Callirrhoe Siganou – Parren, by Dr. Maria Anastasopoulou.
In its effort to preserve Greek traditional songs, L.G.W.K. has also digitally recorded original folk songs from all parts of the country under the title “The Uknown Greece” (1997). It has also been the producer of a second recording, under the title “I had a little garden”, which includes songs from Alagonia, Messinia.
